Where We Live

 Here is Frogner House Apartments, where we are living.

Here is Boltelokka Skole,where Addie and Bram will start school in mid-August. It is a short walk from our apartment.

Here are Addie and Bram on the "playground." The environment is very urban (no grass!)

A short walk from our apartment in the other direction is the Royal Palace. Here, there are acres and acres of grass. The King and Queen allow the commoners to stroll the grounds, sunbathe, walk their dogs and play. 

 
 
Perhaps it is okay with them as they are well guarded.

Here is a brief video of taken by Addie of one of the guards in front of the palace. (The palace is one of the smallest in Europe, with only 172 rooms. We only saw 12 of them. Sorry, no cameras were allowed inside.)

 Here is a photo of some of the guards, taken during the "changing of the guards." You can see from this that not all Norwegians are blond and blue-eyed. (Many of these guards are women too.)
